Model of a medium-sized glycol storage facility in 1:400 scale. Glycol (ethylene glycol or propylene glycol) is used for de-icing aircraft.
This facility can store about 128m³ (undiluted), enough for heavy deicing of almost 100 large aircraft.
The model consists of 3 large tanks, 2 small tanks and a small technical building used for measuring, diluting and heating. The set is held together during printing and transport by a thin rod. You can choose to keep the rod or separate all the parts by cutting the rod. Since most of these facilities are usually painted all white the painting process for this set is particularly easy.
